i have been using win7 for a few months now and been very happy ,except.......................

well its only a little thing but my elderly mobile phone (the one i take to the pond or out metal detecting etc leaving my decent one at home incase of accidents) no longer was supported as win7 no longer uses activesync .

i mumbled into my beard and more than once looked into making the machine dual boot or as i had in the past used a caddy for seperate drives etc.

anyway i stumbled across a super but not very fast program called microsoft virtual pc  its great it runs xp in win7 and apart from i being slow (no need for speed when syncing phones are concerned!) and i had to install within xp office again all is well.

its a bit clunky but so far so good and my old treo is talking to me again

probably old hat to those that keep up with computers but it solved my little problem without hair tearing and only minimal swearing

I use it to run my Epson perfection 2450 scanner and a few other software programmes that don't like Win 7x64. Really useful idea and not really that clunky when compared with my old Win 2k setup!

i wish microsoft had a version that ran in xp that could have run my old dear departed HP 1220c A3 printer ,the default XP drivers were basic and the HP lot refused to write XP versions of the software hat gave you the extended features

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
