umbrella's and wooden staging

Anyone got tips on securing umbrellas on wooden staging . slats are to close together to get pole through.

I'd just use a heavy base to mount it in unless you are dealing with a platform that is a distance away and you have to haul the equipment and the area is public so you can't leave your base on the platform.

 

You talking angling platform or a structure in your yard?

if you use a seat box put a couple of rings on one corner and put the umbrella in those (i expect they are commercially available for top end boxes) this encourages you to take ALL your gear to provide the needed balancing weight or if fishing light STAY SEATED i expect you could fasten the seatbox to the platform with suitable bungey`s

seems a strange fishkeeping post but it might be a large tank
