Mmmmmmmm

'A member of the audience asked the speakers about the level of recognition of recreational fishing in the new CFP.

MEP Rodust answered that amendments regarding recreational fishing have been made in the basic regulation. She added that it is important that recreational fishing is included in the reformed CFP but not treated at the same level as professional fishing.

Mr. Lamplmair added that the EU in general does not devise conservation measures for recreational fisheries, with some exceptions like for example in the case of Bluefin tuna in the Mediterranean, as it is national or local levels that set the rules. He pointed to an issue of proportionality, but added that where substantial amounts of catch are taken by recreational fishers, they need to be taken into account by fisheries managers'.

As someone once said 'welcome to my world'

Good example..We are totally banned for recreational fishing for tuna here...We have zero allowance.

We were also banned from taking mackerel this year too for the same reason.

one turned up dead on our south coast last year, after being speared by a diver, B) The fishery guys made it known in no uncertain terms that any rsa catching one has to immeadiatly send it back, dead or alive.

wer'e banned from taking common eel, bleeding from the gills, send 'em back dead, although the e a confirmed at the time that the take was insignificent. Commercially it continues. The trust helped that one on. No rsa involvement btw. Were banned from landing tope, so when you catch one bleeding from the gills, it's sent back dead, the trust reinforced that one for the rsa this year without asking the rsa. Commercials are allowed a bycatch, btw. Thier project at the mo is attempting to offer up management for the bass claiming that it is in trouble, yet according to the information within the public domain the stock biomass had doubled in recent years due to strong recruitment. With no warnings or cuts issued to the commercial sector. Appears to be more of the same from the governing body. Just wondering what sort of restriction the trust is going to arrange for the rsa on this one.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
