Ok so this is my first post and new topic on this website so her goes nothing. Iv worked along side some of my colleagues and we have produced A virtual Keep net for the IPhone. We have made a quick video of the app in action, witch I’ve linked at the bottom also with the link to iTunes. We’re looking to get this app out there but we also would love some feedback and ides on it. We feel there are a lot of features in it that aren’t in another app’s out at the minute plus that one of the closes apps we have found that’s similar is £5.99 and this is only 69p its worth a look. So any feed back would be great good or bad. Wealso have a facrbook page.

Not having a phone, I don't know. It seems to me you should go a a bit further. Input your tackle, the conditions, the bait, even baromertic pressure and then calculate your catch. It will save even the effort of getting out of bed early.

 

Sorry, I'm just an old time angler who likes to go and catch fish, rarely using a keep net at all :(

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional :-)

if ever i was to do this kind of thing i reckon i wold use a pen and paper. has a nicer feel to it.

With out trying to be to negative, I think those who do keep data on captures prefer to store them in there own Journals/Note Pads it just seems better, feels right. Keeping a Journal is a most worthy way to record ones captures. Although I know some do use spreadsheets. i think this sort of App misses the point of fishing.

 

To be honest I don't think an App is needed for this sort of thing, it's an App for the sake of having one and does very little to add to ones enjoyment of fishing or even record keeping for those who like to keep and then analysis such information.

 

The only Apps I have ever come across that are useful to anglers are either Weather or maps ones all the rest are a complete waste of time.

I see why this might be appreciated by some anglers but....I'd be spending my time watching the float/rod tip!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
