this is identical to the bit of crap i bought years ago (the thing fell apart)

Not familiar, but Invader used to manufacture downrigging equipment about 30 years ago, if that's the same company. Marginal quality. I guess that would be why they got squeezed out of the market by Walker, Cannon, and others.

with the reel foot merely riveted onto the reel i'm surprised any where sold at all ,merely punched out bits of mild steel by the looks .mind you seastreaks made 200 squid for a month or two a few years ago then dropped down to the normal £20 for boxed versions.

mind you its an auction and its fever makes some silly things ,even new stuff being sold for twice what it costs in a shop
