Then we can sort out a fix for you.

java script:void(some command) is a legit bit of code to put on a web page that uses java.

Your system should not be barking at it - especially with IE6. Double check though and see which specific IE6 you have. Should be 6.0.2600 I think (go to Help~about for the information).

Try doing a repair of your IE installation and then go to Windows Update and see if there are any java updates you are missing. If so, install them.

Just a shot in the dark here....

You didn't receive, and act upon, an email that told you about "a virus that even Norton and McAfee couldn't spot", did you? It would have said to remove jdbgmgr.exe from your hard drive.

That could be a reason.

All the best,

Elton

I'll give this another try [already reinstalled once]. I'll get back to you soon.

Many thanks

Colin - for some reason I have seen a repair fix an issue where a complete reinstall wouldn't. I think the repair must touch some files that aren't removed/overwritten by the reinstall.

Also a run thru of SFC (system file checker) couldn't hurt anything.
