Whats it for ?

it gives all the info on apicture,we used it a lot when doing the photo comps as it dates when the photo was taken,also ajay and manxman can see if i have been cheating and had the camera on auto setting..... which for 2 days i have not used........ i am hopeless at this but am determined to take better piccs,they are hard task masters ..... i have been told to read the manual...... there are 295 pages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
