I presume in the short term is financially more rewarding as holes in ground are rare things so you can get lots of money filling them but long term angling probably would make more money but unfortunately you live now long term means you maybe dead when thesecond option overtakes the first in folding money

Theres going to be lots off smells the water table will be polluted despite what they say and plenty of dust and lorries ,i live fairly near one myself luckily not near enough to be noticing their drawbacks

It all depends on where it is in relation to roads my local is lucky to sit between several villages but has a good traffic access off the hogsback so the lorries only pester a few houses on that road

I fished this a couple of times 10-15yrs ago, the lake itself is an old quarry and is sunk down in the landscape so it cannot be seen from the road. Didn't really like it tbh otherwise i would of fished it a lot more whilst at college only a mile down the road. Not sure there going to stop it on account of dust and noise as there is a sand and gravel quarry next door. Maybe they could argue there is a potential for leachate contamination into pitsford resevoir, the areas drinking supply.
