Budget float rod

My newish Ron Thompson C14 match rod is absolutely brilliant, max line is 5lb but i'm sure their stronger rods must be pretty good as well based on my experience with this rod.

Well bit the bullet and ordered a 15 footer, may be giving it a test on Ant's canal.

I have just bought an Abu Esprit and it is quality. It is around the £65 mark, but then you only get what you pay for. It got 50 out 50 in a tackle test in IYCF. It takes reel lines of 2-8lb. It may be a little more than you want to spend but believe me it is quality.

I had a phone call this morning and it was K and K Tackle.

They can't send my rod because they don't accept my type of debit card.

He did say I could send a cheque but I asked if I could have the online price if I picked a rod up, he said no probs just tell them in the shop and they will sort it.

 

Looks like I may have a detour on the way to or from Somerset this weekend.
