Hook length device

Hi guys and girls , does anybody know or have made a hook tying device that gets rigs at a constant length every time ? As cant seem to find anything that can help , trying to get a batch of feeder links made but the attempts I have done are far from consistent in length . I am aiming for 4" lengths but getting between 5/6 " any help would be great

Preston hard case rig wallet you have the choice to make several different size links or just get 2 pins on a piece of card measured out 4" tie the hook on place it round the pin then loop the line round the other pin and pinch it then tie your double knot???

I use a couple of smooth pins in a piece of board.

I tie the hook on (I use a knotless knot)

Then hook the hook onto one of the pins.

I then pass the line tightly around the other pin, slide it off and tie the loop.

It's easier to do than describe.

Your hook length will be the distance that the pins are apart and will be the same every time.

Hi all thanks for all your suggestions and I gave them ago last night with limited success so made a tying rig with a match man hook tyer and wood , it's a bit crude but I think it will do the job . Looked online for hook length tyres and seen a few products that help you make exact length rigs so made on me self from a piece of old wood and a hanger. I'll post a full topic later if it works with pictures if I can find a way to post them with my iPhone . Thanks guys
