no money in further education

i recieved through the post today an application form and a job description for a job.

the job description is in the form of a bound book

 

both covers are very thick mottled card and contains 10 pages , the actuall job description covers 4 ,instead of wasting resourses why isn`t the job description on 2 sheets of paper (with room to spare) not enough money in education NOT , sack whoever takes these descisions :mad:

whoops forgot to reduce the size, am i guilty of wasting resourses

But surely you can see they need to give jobs to the designers coming out of the institute..DUH

Got to say that I agree with you Chesters, but in these times when right-on corporate image is everything, led from the front by New Labour, no doubt they'd argue that the extra cost will be more than offset by the extra income their nice sparkly image will produce. It's all a load of fetid dingo's kidneys of course, but these people don't live in the same world as you and I :mad:

the university i worked in a couple of years ago pleaded poverty ,but in the five years i worked there the school of electronics changed its name 4 times (more and more departments were almalgamated into one) each time all the headed notepaper was binned all advertising was skipped ,even every doors were painted a new colour (and there was hundreds of doors ) when a new head of department was "elected" the door colours were again changed ,hundreds of thousands of pounds were wasted on carpets from america that covered every floor (these wore out in a few months by the shear weight of students going back and forth) all the carpets were ripped up and now the corridors sport the same 1960`s vynal tiles that were always there ,but strangly not enough money for staff ,when i started there were 12 techs and 3 trainees ,now there are 4 techs ,trainees are a thing of the past :mad:
