"Most folks" are astonished when I tell them that I grind my own spices for a chili instead of buying them pre-mixed in a packet.

They're even more astonished to discover that I use beans other than red kidney beans and that I prepare them from dried.

"Most folks" these days seem to have cooking skills limited to taking something out of the freezer and putting it in the oven.

And yes, I add chocolate too - have done for years.

Oven? Oven? OH you mean that big hot slow microwave? The mrs plays with it on a sunday but i just throw something in the micro for ten minutes and eat it ,taste is irrelevant

I'm not surprised at you culinary antics theres strange people everywhere doing strange things

How will you know until you have tasted it? I always shove a teaspoon of cocoa powder in a pot of chili (I'm sure that both Newt or Phone will find that a pretty normal thing to do) and I have made my own chocolate coated chilis as a snack. Maybe there is a wee bit of Mayan DNA in me somewhere.

I know my own tastes and have certain mixes I dont do like fruit with meat .I have tried chocolate in chilli and didnt like it

Number me with Rage it,s a shame Number me in Haste its a shame
