polly, I think you have your logic back to front.

 

How does buying a licence at a village post office protect rural Britain (I include rural Wales as well) "at the expense of our sport"?

 

Surely it supports both.

 

I could have mentioned that at the same visit I topped up my Cash ISA, got a form to apply for the new E111, purchased a wad of postage stamps, posted some packages too big for the local postbox, and also bought some locally baked bread, two tins of spam for bait, the local newspaper, some assorted groceries and a tin of baccy.

 

Try doing that in two minutes on line!

You have to look on the reverse to find that it expires on March 31st 2006.
