Burning CDs

if you want it for burning mp3s or other audio stuff (including straight cd's) get the latest version of media player for nowt (assuming you're using windows!)

for making 'backups' "cough" of cd's, Alcohol and clonecd seem to be the toys.

Clone seems to have troubles with some new stuff.

And yes you do need backups when you have kids like mine who think cd's are just drinks coasters (not just the AOL ones!)

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.
