Problems copying DVD movies!

Recommended Posts

Having REAL fun making back up copies of my DVD movies!! I have at my disposal several programmes which say they WILL do what I want but when it comes to the crunch they certainly will not!!

Problems are "You do not have a plug-in loaded for Windows Media Player 10."

DVD's are NOT recognised as being in drive!! )Funny that because I can open drive and they are DEFFO ther!! If Ican see them why can't the ruddy PC or DVD writer!!:-))

I have a copy of X-Copy and Instant CD and DVD I also have installed a little utility called DVD43 which seems to work as I get the right faces, but that is all!! I am getting a bit peed off and wonder has anyone got a remdy or a set-up which they use which NEVER fails them??

Writer is an NEC 8x and I have a Sony 16x rom as well. Running Xp home, media 10 and Firefox.

Help?! Please!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

I use "DVD X Copy", it pretty much does the business ... except if copying dvds where there are a number of shows on it (ie a Father Ted dvd) - it only does the first one.

Otherwise, for movies - its great.

It would seem that the problem was my disks!! They are all 1-2x and 2.4x and my writer will only do down to 4x. So!! BUT I think I can use them in my DVD player so I'll try that!

BUT thanks to ALL respondents!! And if they don'e work in the recorder I WILL be loking for a good home!
