Wheatsmum is looking for an email supplier that she can run through OE. She is networked with me on broadband although she is completely separate. She is currently registered with MSN who don't use OE and her email address is rather clumsy.

i'm pretty sure that hotmail accounts can use outlook and outlook express.

they can certainly use outlook express as i used it that way for a while.

Brenda's email address is really clumsy, and very easy to make a mistake with - she would like a shorter one, something that MSN can't give her.

Gmail...privacy concerns?? See webmasterworld!! Seriously though it should be fine for most things.

 

For those who said OE and hotmail should work there ** might ** (I don't know) be problems with Outlook Express and Hotmail via a router configuration since you are not talking about standard router POP3/HTTP/FTP transmission but some proprietory protocol I think. Most router/ics setups have some form of integrated firewall that might bounce the hotmail protocol.
