This looks like it could be a decent deal if you know somebody who could pick it up for you. I've used and abused a pair of Hyperloop Barbel Power rods (1.75 test) for a fair few years, and they're very good rods, with bags of low-down power.

The XT is a tri-tip, with a 1.5 test solid top and two different strength quiver sections; so less powerful, but probably a better all-rounder.

In the end I got dragged kicking and screaming into Go Outdoors by my daughter who wanted things for her forthcoming trip to Africa to do some conservation work !! Whilst she and her mother were doing that I naturally gravitated to the Fishing Section and would you know it, stumbled across the Shakespeare rod. As it was the only one in the shop it jumped into my outstretched hand and accompanied me to the till. However when I got it home I discovered that the quiver tip insert was missing from the quiver tip top section. I phoned them and got that sorted, but it lead me to thinking (dangerous). There was only one quiver tip sold with the rod, so no choice of strength. Is there a standard diameter for quiver tips so that I could buy others to fit

I can buy replacement Drennan tips for my Drennan IM8 Super Feeder - so they are definitely available for that in a regular size - best to take it to your nearest tackle shop and give one a try.

Doesn't the Agility have a spliced-in quivertip?

Mine just has a hole where one should push in but was missing. My local store has sold out and I am awaiting restocking for a new rod

Just got the replacement rod. What I thought was a hole for a quivertip was actually a break just above a ring. The new rod has a white spliced in quivertip
