I thought that safety would have been the foremost aspect.

With that comment,I take it you have never fished from a Kayak b4.

Whilst on Holiday in Devon Specimen and I fished about Half a mile off shore. It was a calm day.A Speed boat with 2 young lads(Not wearing any floatation device's)Passed a comment to us..."I wouldnt like to be in that when a boat passes and kicks up a swell"

10 minutes later a dive boat passed us going about 7-8 knots. We rode over the wash with the greatest of ease. But the speed boat which was on the drift at the time was tossed all over the place, knocking the 2 youngsters all over the place.

Just goes to show you.Its not the size its how you use it :D

You must have the greatest respect for the sea though, and know your limits.

Hungry - I am going to make you as sick as a parrot now! That Lobster is enormous! The Aquarium would have taken that one off you if you kept it alive in a wet sack until you got it there.

It looks, just going on perspective etc, that it was about 12lbs, possibly as big as 14lbs - which means it was in the region of 50 years old!!
