Pete,I know the lures were old,but I didn't know that they were that old ,straight up,I can remember getting them from the mid 70's but I think they disappeared around 1980 (ish).They made a reappearance earlier this year under the name woblex from Mark Kitson,very similar lures but the original had a hard plastic head,the new ones are a soft plastic.(as you probably know anyway)Still,they're always great fun to use anyway,whether you use them as they are or take off the treble and add a circle to them.

 

Similar inherent problems though,nothing a drop of superglue won't put right in both cases.

 

I agree with you that the silver bladed ones were better though.

Just how many of used to buy Voblex lures by the dozen then? They must have been good!! Can't be that many Voblex boxes about.
