There was some talk, but nothing got booked. I'm guessing it's going to be flooded out, though. I know someone who lives near the source of the Itchen, where it's usually 3 feet across. This is the road near his house:

His garden is flooded too. I reckon it's a wash out for this season.

Do you know what Tony even though its not a million miles from me Ive never fished of Samphire! Not been there since I was working for TML and it was the Tunnel marshalling area! I very rarely sea fish these days a not much gear left but yes I would be up for a get together there.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

I quite fancy getting a few people together for a smoothhound/bass session down on the Solent if we get some settled weather in the early summer. I reckon a lot of people without beach gear could get by with spod/pike tackle, and it could be a good social. Might beat my PB smoothhound, which is about 3lb! :D

Top idea Steve! Strange as I was going to suggest that maybe at the right time of year/tide etc course guys could do the same at Samphire. Unless big tide pulls are present its amazing how many sea venues can be tackled with freshwater gear...and how much fun it is! Im 100% up for iot so if you do and Im not about on AN please let me know :)

That sounds good fun. Bivvys? Beach BBQ? Eat what you catch (or what you bought should the unthinkable blank happen)? Are you allowed to do all of that on the beach?

We could play at being hippies for an evening.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Yep, exactly that kind of thing! Likely to get lynched for eating the target species, but we could get lucky and get some nice mackerel turning up. Otherwise, whatever we've taken to cook.

JV44 is up for this too, so we could maybe have a couple of practice runs beforehand, once the warm weather arrives.

john Skeggs boat, float fishing for the bass, with live mackerel, small fixed spool and a very light rod, top notch fun

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..
