Thanks - Decision Made

Just want to thank everyone for the advice over the last few months. Particularly Starvin who even allowed me to dunk his fishfinder fitted on the Caper. Sorry!

The decision, subject to final inspection, is the Scupper ProTW. Ordering one in yellow :P (safety - Yakity/SM) from Bournmouth Canoes. Visited Simon today (top service) we just have to wait for the final thumbs up and a delivery date.

Hopefully, I will be able to relieve someone of last spot on the Christmas comp.

The good thing about buying this time of year, no shortage of Christmas pressie ideas. :D

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.

Hi Starvin

Great idea about the 3 of us getting together.

Spoken to Bournmouth Canoes today delivery should be within next 2 weeks.

For info went for non angling version as Im not sold on flush mounts.

Got some ideas for rods but won't say anything yet just in case it as successful as my anchor deploying drills ;):D

Darnsarf,

It's always nice to start from a blank canvas and do your own thing so a wise choice, as for your anchoring skills, probably find it easier with an anchor trolley system than the one fitted to my Project Caper, you won't have to turn around.

Richi, Poole Harbour sounds good, will have to check the wife's diary as she's in charge running up till Christmas. :D

If ive got it by then and I can get a pass :) your on.

Might have to rig a quick anchor system but should be able to bluff my way through the rest. Might be its first outing :D

MInd you always fancied drifting a float fished spoon on the bottom for flatties might be worth a go. To be honest probably wont care too much about the fishing Ill be like a dog with 2 appendages. Its been a long time coming.:D

high water is around 9a.m. so an early start would be needed as it's only worth fishing the flood,i've always caught more at anchor than on the drift although i have no anchor trolley set up,i just use a bungee connected to my anchor rope and connect it at varying points of the yak, normally behind me to the crate hole bungee
