Jw Quiver Tip Test Curves

Could anyone please tell me what the test curve rating is for the 3 tips on the John Wilson Avon Quiver rod please. I've been looking at the 11'/13' 1 1/4lb version.

Also are spare tips readily available and to what cost please?

1, 2 and 3 oz as I recall. Spare tips from my local shop are around £10 each. If you insist on Masterline tips then I've no doubt that they'll cost at least twice that. Most shops carry a selection of spare tips that will probably fit Masterline, Drennan and Diawa rods.

the green tip is the heaviest (3oz)yellow is next (2oz)red is lightest (1oz) and is carbon where as the others are glassfibre types and masterline charges £16 per set ,and the quiver carrier section is i think also £16 ish but you'd have to check with them.they no longer sell spares for the origanal version.

Chavender, are you saying the red is a carbon tip and the yellow and green are fibreglass? They all look the same to me.

i'll check in the morning,but i'am fairly sure as i seem to recall the red one as different eye spacing and they're closer to the blank as well.
