Hiya Josh, and welcome.

 

Kayak Fishing has to be one of the most enjoyable methods of fishing that most of us here have tried.

It offers the angler total freedom, and a very inexpensive mode of tranport on the water, compared with the expense that comes with owning a boat these days.

 

The peace and quiet alone is a huge bonus.

just to add to yakity yaks sentiments:

kayak angling provides a closeness to the fish that angling from a boat just cannot. There is a oneness with the elements that you are a part of, not seperated from. It provides an emotional benefit, not just better access. If you cannot feel that when you are on the water, then kayaking is never going to give you that lift that it does those who can feel the difference. Like riding a bicycle, if you don't like it you won't get any benefit from it.

 

Simplicity, quiet, clean (no fuel), sense of achievement, far more capable than they are given credit for. There is only one way to find out if it is for you - TRY IT!!
