Flotation Jacket Vs crewsaver?

The last couple of times out on the yak I wore a crewsaver rather than my very expensive peak vest. I found it far more comfortable to use. What do you guys rekon, would you only use a floatation or would you do the same as I did and go for the manual trigger crewsaver??

I have a manual trigger crewsaver, It is nicer to use than buoyancy vest, if the weather turns rough I blow it up my mouth to save me using the gas cartridge it if I get ditched.

Saying that a buoyance vest is nice when it's cold for the warmth.

PS got mine from here

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

Gogga, Sorry, Captain's Organ Grinder has the ultimate - it is both!

He has this thing from Stearns (I think) and it is gas cartridge fired, but has a chest pack for stowage of your goodies. Bloody brilliant, but from the US. I don't know if you can get them over here - stand by for the funny swimming fish to tell us!
