Lifted the results from another website. A thousand Pounds is not a bad prize for 9 pound of Cod. Couple of familiar names there. P Westmoorland did well in the amble open. One of the Scarborough bunch in 4th.

Also found the Tynemouth Open results from a few weeks ago.

 

Again the Scarborough lads doing well in 1st and 3rd places.

its that secret bait theyve got.

the yorkshire lads have been doing well over there this winter them geordies wont like that.

paul westmoreland must be the top ne angler this year,surely,and theres some good uns to beat over there.

Fished next to Mr Westmoorland a couple of years ago in the Filey open. Must have been 20 anglers in the one area, hardly any fish came out but he got 5. Distance was the key that day. Took all the fish on worm even though it was early october.

 

Have to laugh. I did my usual trick at that venue of fishing very short about 30 yards out with a big bait on as I feel thats where you get the bigger fish. I hooked into a good fish and when its head came out the water I thought I had the match won with what looked like a big double figure fish. Then the body followed. What a stumpy it was. The fish must have weighed 4 pound and probably wouldnt even have been legal size. I guess Im not meant to win those type of matches.

Law of averages you will win one winter just keep believing your are going to the right spots NORTH HAW, it will be your turn soon i have won a few opens from there. :fishing::1a:
