Sorry to hear about your leaking hatch - if you are rivetted, try running a bead of aquaseal, or similar, around the edge of the hatch, then with a wetted finger run over the bead - that way it doesn't stick to your finger. The gap can't be very large, so you just have to get some sealer forced into the gap between flange and deck. That will take up most of the ability to seep through. I got a tube of Hermatite sealer form Boogy Knights at Mount Wise for £1 on Saturday - and a tube of Sikaflex for £4.50 too! (£12.50 at Nantwich Marina - but then Nantwich is like Hampshire!!)

Hibernation, I'll have you know that Phooey and I paddled 7 miles last weekend on the Thames hunting down some Pike, found a couple of floats and a few bits of tree, but sadly no Pike, oh saw the famous Parakeets flying around and feeding on somebodies lawn.

It was a great place for a paddle, nice change from the sea, just wish we had hooked up, Phooey kept reminding me... should have been here Friday, had five out. Oh well, it's my turn to take him out on the sea next time we get a break in the weather.

As for your rear Darnsarf, nothing was further from my mind, I only have eyes for your Scupper Pro. :D

Freshwater doesn't count :P:D

It will be good to fall out of my own yak for a change. Look forward to seeing you.

Simon thanks I was thinking down route myself.

Fished since 2003, the rest of my life I just wasted.
