Medway Fishing

Hi Folks,

 

PLenty of fish coming out of the River Medway at the moment.

 

Fished ysterday with 3 mates, had about 40 fish.

 

All pouting but 1 big sole did come out.

Mmmmm. You will forgive me if I don't rush off down there for blasted Pouting! A good reason not to fish there I would think.

Who cares though what you catch, at least we are catching fish unlike people trying down on the South and North Kent coasts.

 

We are even getting our fish in numbers so who can complain.

I'm afraid I am one of those strange anglers who likes a fish for the table now and again. Pouting are a blasted bait robbing pest..

I would rather catch one fish for the table than 100 Pouting. But that's just me. I don't go fishing just for the pleasure of reeling in tiddlers. If I caught 30 Pouting I would consider the session a total flop.

where were you fishing? I used to fish the industrial estate at wainscot havent been for a couple of years,I've never had the luck with the sole that some folks have had Any tips for the area that you could pass on to the fat boy? I wont tell any one honest mate! Well Done Matt

Plenty being caught down in Dorset;)

Big bass are showing along with bream,wrasse,sole,plaice,dogfish,smooth hound,Mackerel and alot of small eyed rays.

Just concentrating fishing from the yak at the moment.But all the rays were caught from the beach at Milford shingle bank.

All will be answered tomorrow, I am going down to Gillingham pier with Matt.

I suspect it will be Pouting City, but there is always a chance of a decent Sole.

Def was Pouting City if not Pouting County!!!

 

A 1.5lb Sole was caught off the pier. Very plup fish.

Matt try bunging one of those pout out one a seperate rod you may pick up a decent bass mate..

There was a 8.5lb bass trawled near Rochester Bridge during the week.
