Carp off the top

Anyone think there's a chance I may be able to get some carp off the top tomorrow? Fishing a local commercial with my dad tomorrow, where you can catch loads off the top in summer. Weather forecast says 11C sunny with a light wind.

Worth a try do you think?

I had an hour out just before last light tonight, had 3 bites off the top, missed one, lost one after about 3 mins, and landed the last one, a lovely 11lb mirror, just as dusk was falling. Well worth a try I'd say!

Reading some of the blogs on the site I would say carp are capable of being taken on the surface at any time of the year.

I have to admit I have not tried it too often in the colder months but Julians blog will testify that the method can be fruitful.

As Norfolkdan states, it is clearly worth trying, the carp are certainly on the move on my local venue.
