you can but it wont work as well as a multiplyer ,maybe you could change the butt eye as a compromise :(:)

Two problems you will face.

 

First (as chesters1 noted) the lower rings will be way too small and you will get lots of line slap when casting and reeling in. Cuts into the distance on the cast but mostly can be tolerated.

 

Next (and worst) the rings will be placed all wrong. Multiplier sits on top and the rings are also placed on top (so the natural curve direction of the blank will be on the underside).

Fixed spool sits under the bottom and the blank would normally be ringed accordingly.

 

With a multiplier blank, it will want to twist on you when under strain such as when playing a fish.
