Hi Steve ...

By self portrait I assume those shots of Bl**dy big fish !! :clap2::clap2:

You can make, or buy, a bank stick that you can screw your camera onto .. failing that a small, light mini tripod may do the job. And not be too heavy in your tackle box !!

Stick a bit of stick into the bank where you are going to stand with your fish, then set the camera focus on the stick. Click on the self-timer on the camera .. then run and grab your fish.

Watch out for things like umbrellers growing out of you head, or branches coming out of your ears !! And take at least 3 shots.

No annoying shadows with this method !!!:thumbs:

No Worries Mate ...

Try a couple of dummy runs in the back garden, and practice the focus and general setup, before having a go on the bankside !! :):)

An impressive set of features for a non dslr, I would be more than happy with this camera as a "fishing camera", I think it will do a whole lot more than just snap fish! Lots of added extras to learn and utilize to get the best from.

Look forward to seeing some more shots from it.

Cheers Steve youv'e totaly lost me now. :bigemo_harabe_net-163:

I Have taken a few nice shots on it other than fish, i will have to get the manual out and have a good play, I would love to have a go at some of the photo challenges you do on here but i might be well out of my league. But i would like to learn more so it can't harm can it?

How do you mean... Out of your league ??? We are all out of our league compared to someone !! :2::2:

It is not about technical excellence, or top-range kit. It's about sharing and learning. :):)

Get some shots taken .. and get in there !!! :yeah::thumbs:

You know you want to .......
