Thank you, one and all for your tips and help I particularly like the idea of using the marine sealant

as it is fairly permanent, non messy and still leaves the possibility of trying again if I mess up (inevitable).

This seems a very friendly forum.

It is a nice forum and the guy's and Gal's on here are extremely helpfull. I would have really struggled without them and probably wasted a lot of time and money.

Oh! and welcome :sun:

Hi Dawnplugger,

Just to make matters more confusing for you. I have fixed my transducer down with a good blob of dow corling sealent and it works a treat. A sort of semi permanent fixing as it will peel off if yanked hard enough. The fishish finder I use is a garmin but it should work with an eagle.

I quite like the look of the dive reel...but i think i will have to stick with the poly pipe for now!!

Dingle

Mine is the same as yours Dingle and has held for MANY months with a fantastic picture on my Humminbird matrix 17!! Plus, like you say mate, semi-perm so if it doesn't work first time pull it out and start again.....Simple winkle

I done mine the same way as SM has done on his project :)

Last year I used Vaseline but this year I have filled the Noodle with water.Just have to sponge the water out after every trip.I have tested for leaks and it seems ok.Just got to test it on the water when the weather breaks.

Here is the link to SM's way of doing it.
