Since my flirtation with ZoneAlarm Pro, animated emoticoms no longer are animated on my PC and I can't see some pictures on Forums.

 

I have been into Internet Options > Advanced > MultiMedia and the boxes are all correctly checked to enable these functions.

So, something else is stopping them.

I have uninstalled the free ZoneAlarm and reinstalled it and can't think what else to do.

 

Edit Note: the features still do not work if I disable ZoneAlarm.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions, please ?

I'm intrigued as to the answer to this and hope someone can find it. I had a similar problem, but ditching Pro and installing the basic ZA fixed it. I honestly can't remember if I adjusted any other settings :(

Having trawled (well it is a Fishing Forum) the Techie Forums, I think I have found the answer to this problem.

 

Apparently, the new issue Free ZoneAlarm version 6. ?? is a beta version and causing lots of problems.

The recommendations are, to go back to version 5.5 and then email ZoneAlarm and hurl abuse at them for testing on innocent souls.

 

When I abandoned my trial of ZoneAlarmPro, I downloaded the most uptodate free version (6. ??).

I have now uninstalled this and installed version 5.5 and everything is working perfectly.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
