Any bloggers ? What is a permalink ?

I noticed that as things slip off the first page of my blog so they dissapear too off goggle. Ive read about a bit and get the feeling a permalink mught help this. Ive spent a while tracking doen info on permalinks but the one bit I need to understand Just goes staright over my head.

 

Is a permalink a link on your first page that links to an item long gone off your first page ?

 

If so where do you put it and how do you go about doing so.

 

If its not then what is a permalink in a blog sense ?

Seems a permalink is a link you can post elsewhere that goes to the specific blog it's created for, even after it's off the front page. Bit like when you send links to threads on here.

Thanks elton. I had a feeling thaat was it. These tech heads put big names on things and get you confused over something simple.
