On the 350D it's the self timer button (The Drive Mode Selection button).

The tiny button just right of the on-off switch changes the mode, whilst operating this look in your lcd display and there is a small display rectangle on the right.. first press will display what looks like a single page (single shot), the 2nd press looks like a few pages (multi shot) third press gives a circle with a line at 11 o clock through it..this is the timer or remote switch..

Cheers everyone - sorted it :D

Elton...Have you gone and bought a camera?

Yep. Got Sandpipper's old 300D. Also got a cheap remote and 2 gig memory card from eBay. Might pop in here now and again now :D

Thats great news Elton! You'll prob also have a removable eyecup on your viewfinder too, this pushes up and off. And on your cameras strap there is a fitting to cover the viewfinder completely. This stops letting any extra light in to the camera when using the self timer or remote (as your eye will not be covering it by looking through it), I hope this makes sense and I'm not talking Dwarf....
