Trojan Horse Clicker ?

An AVG scan tells me I have an "enbedded Trojan Horse Clicker .CAH" virus.

It hasn't put it in the Virus Vault, deleted it, or cleaned it.

I have run Spyware Doctor and AdAware and neither have identified it as being on my PC.

It shows as being in two places.

C:\DocumentsandSettings\HP_Owner\Incomplete\T.41372\.....................install

As above...........................................................................

.................Archive

How do I get rid of this, please ?

EDIT NOTE: I looked around my Documents and Settings and found the file and deleted it.

A further AVG scan found nothing wrong and I double checked with the McAfee free scan, so hopefully, thats the end of it.

Could there still be a file in "Archive" ?

have you tried booting into safe mode and killing it as if it is in use you wont be able to kill it, run in safe mode and try to delete it then run avg in safe mode.

I had a problem recently ...AVG found something but did not do anything with it!!!! ran AVAST virus scan ..that found it and cleared it...have switched to AVAST now.

I downloaded the security patches from Microsoft that were advised yesterday...an hour after ..computer started running very slow ... and acting strangely...... decided to restore to day before yesterday ...its fine ...done virus check etc...all clear...must have been the download!!!!

It would be worth downloading the security patches from Microsoft again and seeing if the same thing happens again.

I would be unhappy to operate without the security updates. :(

Edit Note: I have just noticed that Grisoft produce both AVG and Avast anti virus software......why have a duplication ?
