pole and elastic

I have just ordered a new Drennan margin pole. Which elastic should I use? I hope to catch carp to double figures close to snags. I broke my last conventional pole on a carp trying to keep it out of a snag. What would be a balanced set up?

I have used Maver Hollow for a long time now and would'nt use anything else. It is very forgiving and fish control is second to none. It also does'nt need changing every season. Hope you find the right one for yourself as every angler has their own preference.

If i was you id use some raed hydro elstic. it may be dear but its the best elastic around in my view. it has alot of strecth and brilliant fo bullying doulble figure carp.
