I got the fish finder and line/depth counter last time. Have the same problem with weight of the cable on the fish finder as chavender. must try the corks on the cable trick. It does work to a fashion, i use it to work out depth and contours as it works its way back to the bank, when i can't be a**ed to play around with plummets. I think it was designed more for the american market, off the side of boats, jetties and float tubes.

 

My line counter seems to stop reading at 29m, so have to keep re-zeroing and adding them up as i go.

I notice they're selling sets of fillets knives complete with descalers, obviously they've put a lot of research into stocking coarse fishing tackle....

 

Maybe they're marketing it at the people stealing all the fish !

Went in there today and got the £7.99 cook set. Bargain for two saucepans and a frying pan, worrying thing is though, the cooking element relies on methylated spirits !!!

 

Maybe I'll just use the pots and keep meths at home
