In my humble opinion we are being sold down the river, I think that the people that our government talk to when it comes to angling conservation do not know enough about the sport or commercial fishing.

These people are ok with notes to read like a autocue or posting links up on internet forums, but on a one to one quick fire question they are stuffed without notes. I feel more needs doing out in the field.

I speak to many anglers most weeks just by going fishing, if I was just to visit these venues with the intention of talking sustainable fishing and conservation I could reach around 300 anglers a week face to face. A leaflet on the subject could e left with each angler after a conversation.

Soon anglers are going to wake up and have to face the agendas that have been set by those at the sharp end right now, these could include no take zones, total catch and release areas and worse of all a sea angling license. All this would be ok if we anglers get something decent in return for loosing these basic rights. But so far with the crap decision regarding the bass MLS we aint got nout.
