flash for a ricoh GX8

hi,

 

need a bit of advice.

 

i have a ricoh GX8 and i use it for my fishing photos, the built in flash takes ages to recharge after a pic and it is a bit annoying when you want 2 or 3 photos before you return the fish to the water.

 

it has a hot shoe and i was wondering what is the best type of flash to get

 

jessops say there isn't a dedicated one for this camera, any suggestions??

Without really knowing the camera, I would suggest better batteries! Do you use rechargeable? Use only the best quality, duracell or better and renew frequently. Cheap or rechargeable are notoriously poor.

hi, i'm using metal nickel hydride 2500ah.

 

it just seems to take forever to recharge even when the batteries are fully charged and freshly loaded.

 

any suggestions on a flash for the hot shoe??

 

i have an old vivitar but it seens to be a bit uncompatable, do i need a specialist digital flash??
