off for a cast at dunnet beach for a bass first sesh of the year probablly blank but nothing ventured nothing gained!!! :P:P

Tight lines mate. Had my first cast of the year on Sunday morning at Ardwell back Bay,Mull of Galloway and managed a 1lb coalie - at least its a start!

Dogfish 100+

Pouting 20

Pollack 5

Three bearded rockling 1

Scorpionfish 1

 

Almost three months of fishing gone and nothing worth eating yet :(

Now I see why doggies can be seen as pest.

That is without really trying.

If I was using something that dogfish actually like eating such as mackerel...

It is just that the packs are so dense when you get on to the sand at St Catherines that anything edible is taken.

The upside is that if you can cast on to the sand after dark you will never blank.
