gloves for kayak angling

Having decided with the aid of reading the forum, drysuit Typhoon racer xts and crewsaver sports boot. Can anyone give me some advice on which gloves to buy for my intended winter fishing. Do you buy the cut off finger type so you can apply the bait to the hook without soiling the gloves or is it a case of removing the gloves to bait up. I would be grateful for any input

Be interested to read the replies to this thread - I'm looking to buy a pair of gloves too. Have used latex gloves on occassion but they're a short term solution. I used thick neoprene paddling gloves last winter which were warm but had to be taken off each time I baited up as I couldn't feel what I was doing. I've used a pair of neoprene gloves which you can flip the fingers and thumb back but the neoprene was too thin and not warm enough.

they have split finger that can fold back, you can get them cheaper then the price shown here do a search

I use the seaman sub diving gloves.The wetter they get the warmer they are.You can even bait up with them on.
