Shall we set a date and venue then? No big fuss, just get the date and venue sorted, let people know and whoever turns up, turns up. Perhaps Holmsey can put something on leader-lines once we've got the date and venue sorted? It would be nice to do something this month while it's still fresh in everyones memory.

Just checked my shifts and, (apart from tomorrow), the next weekend day that I'll be off is Saturday 9th December. If you lot decide to do it before then, I'll have to give it a miss but I'll give my donation to someone else to bring along.

Did you ever meet the guy Ped? I met him on the Sth pier one night when sole fishing, I'll never forget it because he had a distinct casting style, he was there with Paul C and his mate Haggis, he had a key for the gate I think. Anyway nice quiet guy, terrible shame.

Hiya Holmsey, cant recall seeing him but had several sessions up there so most probably.

 

Re a date for a fish-in, seems to be a bit congested till the end of the month and I believe it may be difficilt to get a good responce in the run-up to Xmas. The Leader Lines crew are organising an informal session during the Xmas week which we maybe able to turn into a meet/collection for the poor soul's family.

 

Must admit my preferrence would be for sooner whilst still fresh in our minds.

Me too mate but i'm stuck the next 2 weekends then its december anyway. If I can't fish i'll send a contribution anyway. We ought to see if any of the lowestoft boys that fished with him are doing anything, he liked the north beach apparently.
