Gran Canaria Sea Fishing

Recommended Posts

Off to Gran Canaria this weekend for a fortnight with the FPO, my fishing buddy and his missus. Would it be worth taking any gear with me? Has anyone fished the area before any tips on species, baits etc would be great! I was thinking of slipping a telescopic spinning rod in the case when she wasn't looking, maybe some plugs, spoons and some coarse floats??

Cheers

We're gonna need a bigger boat!

You must be joking, we are all poor on here! Jealous as well. Go on, clear off and stand in the warm blue sea and do some spinning. We will hold the fort in the rain.

Conger try doing a search using Tenerife mate, its in the same group of islands.

Have had mullet from the shore on single hooks with bread and also the multihook method

I am sure there were loads of posts on this one.

When in Los Christianos got snapped off on the beach deadbaiting with a mullet.

Barra on lures from the shore are a possability but best take some wire traces.

Pal of mine took his "beach telescopic rod" and livebaited with mullet on a float, had dorado to about 30lbs.

If all else fails go to the boozer and drink dorado,it worked for me.

Enjoy the holiday, hope this helped a bit
