Anyone got any tip for fishing the River Wye at Ross-on-Wye?Going there tmo for the first time, only a small stretch that my friend owns, but doesn't fish said he has seen lots of Chub.I'm thinking of trying to fish it witha close end feeder filled with hemp and maggots, with a size 10 hook on the buisness end with around 8 maggots on ,to see wat is feeding and go from there hopeing to get my first River Wye Barbel.Never fished the place befor so anything will be helpfull.

im not too sure cause i have never fished for barbel but i think pellet and luncheon meat is best for them? i get the angling times and they get some right clonkers in there (barbel) and most of them caught on 10-14 mm halibut pellet or a cube of luncheon meat

dont be too dissapointed when you dont catch a fish after its not called catching its called fishing! :D
