How do I check my "items" to see which ones driver isn't working and what "items" should I check, please ?

once its started ,try a test print ,try your scanner and any other bit of kit attached to your pc ,if you can connect to the web then your modem or whatever the thing is that connects to broadband is ok etc.

it can also be a bit of software in "startup" (you may have a software suite that puts up a quickstart menu etc)

,remote control for your soundcard ,virus checker ,even the startup tune ,too many things to list but i bet ones playing up.

if it starts up fine in safe mode first time then its a driver problem for sureish

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

device manager/driver will tell you what driver version you have but not that its working only the info that its installed the first page open on the device will tell you if the device is "working" but unfortunately this often lies ,it just thinks its working ;)

Just as an update, I chjecked all drivers through Device Manager and they were OK, all leads and plugs were snug.

The problem now seems to have gone away and all is back to normal.

I have tried quite a few things, so I am not sure which one did the trick, but I am grateful one did. :)
