I was interested to read about your encounter with the Hyacinth Macaw a beautiful bird sadly expoilted.

 

On to chapter 3 :D

The bitten-off plug is great!

 

Yeh - have lost fish before for a variety of reasons, but biting a plug in half.... :blink:.....that's a first.

 

Whilst fishing for small fish for bait and for a "species hunt", I used a long-shanked Aberdeen size 6 to avoid the piranha problem. The little suds bit straight through the hook shank :wallbash:

 

Interestingly enough, a short-shanked hook tied to 15 lb Softstrand wire lasted for at least half a dozen piranha bites before needing renewal.
