well today me and my friend went fishing and we have a quite a pretty good day, we caught 19 fish in total, 10 roach and 9 perch, some of the roach were pretty ok size's and were fun to catch, we would of had more fish but at least 4 fish got off the hook as we got them toward the catch net lol. it was a pretty good day, with all the fish combined together id say it weighed around 9lbs +, i also took some photos for you to see.

Interesting looking lake. Looks to be shallow and the water level down a bit.

The fish ain't bad either. :D :D

Hi Henda

Thanks for the pics and glad you had a good day.

Now for the miserable old git bit.... Please dont place any fish on such a surface, a keepnet bag is just not suitable. You can harm the fish by removing scales and protective slime, which can subject the fish to bacterial attack. If you have to keep the fish out of water for a short time, keep them safe by keeping them in your landing net far better. Always put the welfare of any fish first and that will ensure future sport for all.

Right thats the end of the lesson, please keep the posts coming, and the pics.

I should say a large percentage of those Roach are actually pale Rudd or at least Roach/Rudd hybrids.. Can't see for sure from the photos as the eye colour looks very yellow for Rudd but the dorsal fin and a few of the mouths have got a definite Rudd look to them..

A good way to tell the difference is the dorsal fin, 8-9 soft rays = a Rudd, 10-12 should = a Roach..

Henda11 , nice net of fish . I still think these are Rudd and not Roach . The main difference is in the lips . If the bottom lip protrudes farther out than the top lip , they're probably Rudd . If the top lip is more prominent , then they'd probably be Roach . Looking at your photo's , i'd definitely say Rudd though .
