carp night feeders ?

hello i have been wanting to no the answer to this question for a while now and the question is this....

is it better to fish for carp at night or during the day ??

i have never night fished for carp and ive had reasonable success during the day but i would like to try catching bigger carp

It all depends on the carp, how it is fished and how crafty the carp are. Now my local pond fishes better in the early morning until 10 oclock and then again from early evening until about 11 oclock at night.

well the lake that i want to fish at i havant realy seen any many carp during the day so ill give night fishing a try

do they have to feed at night? just being out is great and you dont have to travel far if they start at dawn

I have found that very generally speaking, there is very little activity between 1am and 5am, although I did used to fish a water where there was a very predictable half hour feeding spell at 3am. I usually try to get some sleep at about 1am, although I am avery light sleeper and can be on my rods in seconds. I always sleep with my boots on and cover myself with a duvet, rather than getting into a sleeping bag.

I catch alot of carp between 7pm-12pm in the summer and catch my bigger fish between 4-6am don't catch as many though but size is better.
