yak trolley

Last week i bought a new trolley for the yak after hating those long trips up the beach when the tide was at low water. I chose the more expensive type g tug. I have now thought of an idea to make things even easier. My father had an old mountfield 4hp lawnmower. I am now in the process of dismantling the engine to attach to the trolley . I am then going to purchase another set of wheels which will enable me to drive my yak instead of having to lift it on to the roofrack... Would i need to tax and insure it.Any comments??????

I reckon the speed you can paddle , your momentum when you land should take you quite some distance and if you had some permanent wheels attached you wouldn't need the motor

With all the Hot Air currently around, I thought a couple of balloons would suffice to float your yak down the beach!

for the purposes of tax and insurance the law states a mechanically propelled vehicle used or adapted for use on a road. the meaning of road is anywhere where the public have access.... um i think the yak would therefore fall into this catagory....
