ok, i bought some elasticated method feeders.....ive snapped off the elastic , so now do i just run my main line through the hole at the bottom and out the other end and attach it to a swivel then attach the hook rig to the other end of the swivel...

also shall i put a shot at the other end of the main line so that when the carp take the hook and the feeder goes back that it doesnt go to far up the line?

PB Mirror Carp: 10lb 7oz

PB Common Carp: 7lb 7oz

Chuck `em in the bin mate, they`re dangerous. If the mainline snaps and the feeder gets trapped on something theres absolutely no way the fish can get the feeder off the line.

One of the worst items of end gear ever made.

If you take the `laccy out then the feeder can, as you said, be used on the mainline but whatever you do, don`t put a shot behind it for the reasons given above. Much beter to use a piece of silicone tubing slid over the end of the feeder then the swivel.

Is the `laccy mounted through tubing?

You've taken away the link to the pic! I'd put a couple of floatstops on the main line, then I'd thread on the line though the swivel of the feeder, then tie on a swivel and then tie your hooklink to the swivel. When its all done, push the float stops up to the feeder to make it semi fixed and help with fish hoking/pricking. If you snap up the fish will easily pull the line through the floatstops and thus shed the feeder of the main line.

Does that make sense? Here is a link to the floatstops I'm talking about they are rubber and soft I'd be amazed if your local shop doesn't have any, don't use ledger stops as they won't move and might tether the fish!
